Seeress Width of Light

1 channel video 15:16The Seeress Width of Light highlights an intimate human relationship with our mythic mind, present day influence on the climate, and connection to geological time. This non-linear narrative is edited in such a way to suggest concurrent time, no decisive conclusion, and no answers, fragmented in its telling. Imagined past, present, and future is woven with existing landscapes. The imagery has points of connection through texture and formation of rocks, sulfuric pools, color, and a seeress who conjures visions and communications throughout the land.

'Seeress:Width of Light' also reflects this region's visual connection to neo-romantic landscape painting- mountains and vast landscapes with stormy skies where the figure is often dwarfed by its surroundings. Entangled in this painterly approach is the story of the Seeress. A story that harkens back to a time where women were empowered as visionaries and prophets of our future.
